CS JUVENES

Place:

Polyvalent Hall belonging to University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mures (university campus)

Tournaments:

Tournament A (Grand Prix România, 2nd leg, classic): part of Grand Prix supported by Romanian Chess Federation; the tournament is for players with Elo rating of 2200 and above.

Tournament B (Open Târgu Mureș, Elo rating under 2200): 3rd edition of the traditional event organized by the local chess club Juvenes for players with Elo rating below 2200.

Criteria for acceptance into the competition:

The organizer reserves the right to refuse the registration of players who have had unsportsmanlike conduct in other competitions or public events and who could relapse.

Entry fees:

A Tournament 250 lei

The following categories do not pay the participation fee for the Tournament A (Grand Prix): top 3 players at the 2022 Classic Chess Championships (seniors and juniors) and the guests of the organizers

For Tournament A, the organizers provide accommodation and meals throughout the tournament for the following categories of players:
• National champions (Open and Women sections)
• Awarded players at Gala Șahului Românesc who hold vouchers from the Romanian Chess Federation
• International grandmasters (GM with Elo rating above 2500

B Tournament 200 lei - general fee, 100 lei fee for children and juniors, 100 lei fee for seniors> 65 years.

All players must be eligible and have their 2022 visas paid. Foreign players must have a FIDE ID

Time control tournament A:

90 minutes + 30 sec/player until the 40th move, after an additional 15 minutes are added, the 30 seconds bonus is maintained until the end.

Time control tournament B:

90 minutes + 30 sec/move starting with the first move.

Tie-breaking criteria:

A Tournament:
• Direct victory or little diagram
• Average rating of opponents
• Buchholtz -1

B Tournament:
• Direct victory or little diagram
• Buchholtz -1
• Number of wins
